The Shelter, a young adult expression of the Redeemed Christian Church of God under the Youth Province two is set to hold the 2019 edition of the life-changing event “Still Waters Conference”. Themed “Jesus Revealing ” the event is renowned for its insightful and deep teachings on the revelations of God’s word in the season for his people by well-versed teachers of his word.
Now in its third edition, the first edition of Still Waters Conference was held in May 2017, while the second edition was held in 2018 subsequently. The three-day event will begin on Friday 17th May and end with thanksgiving on Sunday 19th May 2019. Since its maiden edition, the spirit-filled conference has proven to be an event where God visits his people with diverse and usual encounters rooted in deep scriptural precepts and this year’s edition happens to attract speakers of impeccable knowledge of God’s word both in practical knowledge and daily expression of God’s glory in their lives. It will also be replete with transcendent music and revelatory messages.
On the Frontline for the speakers’ line up is Dotun Arifalo, CEO of ‘Life On Purpose’ initiative, a weekly capacity building initiative, equipping people to maximize their lives and career choices. She is also Convener of the Leading Ladies Network, a mentoring, and networking platform for women in ministry. A human capacity builder of high repute, Pastor Dotun has a calling to empower men and women to discover purpose, harness their potentials and release them into unique destinies. She is an international conference speaker with a with the gift of connecting with her multi-cultural audience. She is married to Vincent Arifalo, her husband of 14 years, and they have three beautiful children.
Bringing God’s word via the mantle of his ministry as an Apostolic voice in the Northern City of Jos is Pastor Yusuf Akila. Pastor Yusuf serves as Resident Pastor and Regional Director of HOUSE ON THE ROCK – River of Life, Jos and all daughter Churches in North Eastern Nigeria respectively. He has been involved with pioneering churches in Port Harcourt, Lagos and Abuja and finally with his present location in Jos. A highly sought-after speaker, Pastor Yusuf believes in success built on the operating principles of God’s word to deliver undeniable results. His union with the adorable Sako A. Yusuf is blessed with two boys, two wonderful daughters, an adopted son daughter. They reside in the Tin City of Jos, Plateau State Nigeria.
Pastor Precious Akingbade is a word filled preacher who serves as the National Youth Pastor at the Redeemed Christian Church of Christ. In his cause of work as a Pastor, he has been directly involved in the lives of young people helping them tap into the abundance of talents, giftings and special skills deposited in them by God. His presence at the Still Waters Conference 2019 will see young people shedding off skins of old ways and accepting God’s way as the only way.
Ayoola Jolayemi is the host and Pastor-In-Charge at RCCG The Shelter. He is a vessel of God with an exceptional mantle of leadership and entrepreneurship. Since he began shepherding young lives at RCCG The Shelter, there has been remarkable testimonies of people experiencing growth in different areas of their lives, serving God with unusual fervour and diligence.
